Thy Will Be Done – Week 2

We must daily discover God’s wIll for our life by developing an atmosphere where God’s voice can be heard . . .

Reference Scriptures: Mark 1:35, Psalm 104:34, 1 Kings 19:11

In the noise that often surrounds me I do not always hear clearly what God is saying and can become insensitive to the prompting of His Spirit. In order that I may sense the presence of God and be lead by His will, I commit myself to providing an atmosphere where I can sense more fully the presence of God and hear his word evermore clearly. This requires foremost, providing a quiet time and a quiet place where I can hear God through his word, and speak to him through prayer and supplication from my heart.

With a humble heart and a surrendered spirit, it is in prayer that we should seek with sincerity and receive with gratitude the will of God for our lives. We should endeavor to protect and develop the atmosphere that surrounds us, as well as the atmosphere that is within us. Aware that Satan will attempt to use our mind as well as our physical being to gain access to the atmosphere of our soul, we must pay close attention to what our eyes observe, our ears hear, our hands touch, and the path our feet walk upon. As we make time daily to mediate upon the Lord even in the night watches and early morning, we can expect the presence of God and find rest and peace for our soul.

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” – Mark 1:35
