It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sister Laura Jean Hawthorne-Abdullah. The funeral service will be held at Shiloh SDA Church (7000 South Michigan Avenue; Chicago) on Sunday December 7, 2025 starting at 11am. The repast will follow immediately at Goshen SDA Church (8221 South State Street; Chicago).
Please keep the family in your prayers as they navigate this time of sorrow.

Oftentimes, She and I would talk for hours on the phone about life and blessings. She was a wise woman and I enjoyed listening to her and sharing my stories. I will remember our good times.
